About Us

661 Music has been serving Santa Clarita, San Fernando Valley and Ventura County area since 2003. Our instructors are active performing, recording and touring artists as well as passionate instructors of music. We have taught private lessons and group classes in the local public and private school system, California Institute of the Arts, the Community Arts Partnership and the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra.

Bowed Boot Camp I
Open to Violinists, Violists and Cellists

​This course will give an introduction and overview of some intermediate bowed string techniques including harmonics, tremolo, trills, double stops and will introduce tips to navigate less familiar time signatures and rhythms.
​
Bowed Boot Camp II
Open to Violin, viola, cello

This course will pick up where Bowed Boot Camp I left off! This class will expand on the ornaments we learned in the last class, will introduce some more complex time signatures and expanded bowing techniques.

Odd Times
Open to all instrumentalists

Welcome to the weird and wacky world of time signatures! We are so used to playing in 3/4 and 4/4 time but this class will introduce music with 5 beats and 7 beats per measure.

providing online lessons due to Covid-19.
